colors are a result of distinct mineral deposits in its layered rock, formed over millions of years and revealed as snow and ice melted due to climate change.

Each color corresponds to a specific mineral: red is from iron oxide, pink is from red clay, white is from calcium carbonate, green comes from phyllosilicates, and yellow is from sulfurs. 
Color and mineral breakdown
* Red: Iron oxide in the claystone, such as hematite.
* Pink: A mix of red clay, mud, and sand.
* White: Sandstone and quartzite rich in calcium carbonate.
* Green: Chlorite-bearing clays and phyllosilicates that contain iron and magnesium.
* Yellow: Sulfurous minerals and limonite.
* Purple: Marl, a mixture of clay and calcium carbonate.
* Brown: Eroded rocks and magnesium. 
Formation and discovery
* The mountain's colors were created through natural geological processes and weathering over millions of years.
* For centuries, the colors were hidden beneath glaciers and snow.
* The mountain gained widespread popularity around 2015-2016 after climate change caused the ice to melt, fully revealing the colors.
